Terms and Conditions of Service

Raceroms provides engine control unit (ECU) remapping services aimed exclusively at enhancing performance and driving experience through the use of safe and tested software calibrations.

ECU Remapping Service

ECU remapping is performed at the express request of the vehicle's owner and involves modifying the factory software settings to improve performance and/or fuel economy. The client acknowledges and fully accepts that this service is provided at their own sole risk. Raceroms offers no warranty regarding the operation, long-term reliability, or safety of the vehicle's components (including but not limited to the engine, transmission, turbocharger, or other mechanical/electronic parts) following the modification.

The client understands the potential technical risks involved and fully releases Raceroms and its technical staff from any and all legal, civil, or criminal liability. Furthermore, the client accepts that any modification may:

  • Affect the mechanical integrity of critical vehicle components.
  • Void the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Result in non-compliance with applicable emissions standards (e.g., MOT, TÜV).

Raceroms shall not be held responsible for any mechanical or electronic failures that may arise after the remap, particularly in vehicles with high mileage or pre-existing wear and tear. The client bears sole and complete responsibility for all consequences of the modification and expressly waives any right to claim compensation or pursue legal action.

Dynamometer (Dyno) Service

The dynamometer service is offered for performance measurement purposes only, and the results are not accompanied by any guarantee of accuracy. The client unconditionally accepts that the dyno process subjects the vehicle to significant mechanical stress. Therefore, any damage, failure, or malfunction that occurs during or after the dynamometer testing is the exclusive responsibility of the vehicle owner. Raceroms assumes no liability for any component failure.

Warranties and Refunds

All ECU remapping services are provided on an "as is" basis, without any express or implied warranties concerning the vehicle's performance, safety, or reliability.

However, as part of our customer satisfaction policy, Raceroms offers the following:

  • Software Warranty: If a malfunction is proven to be caused exclusively by the software installation, we commit to restoring the ECU to its original factory settings free of charge at the client's request.
  • Money-Back Guarantee: A full refund is available within 14 calendar days of the service if the client is not satisfied with the software's performance. A prerequisite for the refund is that Raceroms must first restore the vehicle's ECU to its factory settings.

Note: For Stage 1 tuning, vehicle emissions remain within the original manufacturer's specifications.
